Enjoy a celebration of classical music and history as the Resonance Music Series returns to Brighton with a stunning program of events.
Now in its 16th year, Bayside Council is proud to bring outstanding classical music performances to the region.
Bayside Mayor James Long said this year’s series offered a diverse range of musical styles, from medieval through to new and modern works by Bayside and Melbourne-based composers.
“The Resonance Music Series forms part of Council’s commitment to enriching our community through the provision of arts and cultural programs that are locally relevant and close to home,” Cr Long said.
Joining the program again this year is the Bayside Chamber Orchestra, and Early Arts Guild of Victoria, a long-time partner of the series, will also return.
The program is rounded out by two exciting projects – a concert of works presented in partnership with the Gallery@BACC to coincide with this year’s Mid-Winter Master exhibition featuring the works of Clarice Beckett, and a concert by the Melbourne Composers League which provides an opportunity to hear the unusual sounds of low flutes.
Be sure to get along to one of these great Brighton events, as part of the Resonance Music Series:
